The difference between Pill and Tablet

When used as nouns, pill means a small, usually cylindrical object designed for easy swallowing, usually containing some sort of medication, whereas tablet means a slab of clay used for inscription.

When used as verbs, pill means of a woven fabric surface, to form small matted balls of fiber, whereas tablet means to form (a drug, etc.) into tablets.
