The difference between Perfunctory and Pro forma

When used as adjectives, perfunctory means done only to fulfil a duty, or in a careless or indifferent manner, whereas pro forma means for the sake of form only.


Pro forma is also noun with the meaning: a document that shows the standard entries of a form or similar document.
