The difference between Particular and Token
When used as nouns, particular means a small individual part of something larger, whereas token means something serving as an expression of something else.
When used as adjectives, particular means pertaining only to a part of something, whereas token means done as an indication or a pledge.
Token is also verb with the meaning: to betoken, indicate, portend, designate, denote.
