The difference between Parallel and Perpendicular

When used as nouns, parallel means one of a set of parallel lines, whereas perpendicular means a line or plane that is perpendicular to another.

When used as adjectives, parallel means equally distant from one another at all points, whereas perpendicular means at or forming a right angle (to something).
