The difference between Nucleon and Proton
When used as nouns, nucleon means one of the subatomic particles of the atomic nucleus, i.e. a proton or a neutron, whereas proton means a positively charged subatomic particle forming part of the nucleus of an atom and determining the atomic number of an element, composed of two up quarks and a down quark.
