The difference between Needle and Pointer

When used as nouns, needle means a fine, sharp implement usually for piercing such as sewing, or knitting, acupuncture, tattooing, body piercing, medical injections, etc, whereas pointer means anything that points or is used for pointing.


Needle is also verb with the meaning: to pierce with a needle, especially for sewing or acupuncture.
