The difference between Monosaccharide and Oligosaccharide
When used as nouns, monosaccharide means a simple sugar such as glucose, fructose or deoxyribose that has a single ring, whereas oligosaccharide means a polysaccharide of low molecular weight, being a polymer of between three and eight monosaccharide units.
