The difference between Minor and Underage
When used as nouns, minor means a person who is below the legal age of majority, consent, criminal responsibility or other adult responsibilities and accountabilities, whereas underage means a deficit or shortfall in funds, inventory, or capacity.
When used as adjectives, minor means of little significance or importance, whereas underage means below the legal age for some activity, such as drinking or having sex.
Minor is also verb with the meaning: to choose or have an area of secondary concentration as a student in a college or university.
