The difference between Lingua franca and Link language

When used as nouns, lingua franca means a common language used by people of diverse backgrounds to communicate with one another, often a basic form of speech with simplified grammar, whereas link language means a common language linking various people groups or ethnicities, where the adopted language is not a native language of any of the speakers using it.
