The difference between Larboard and Starboard
When used as nouns, larboard means the left side of a ship, looking from the stern forward to the bow, whereas starboard means the right hand side of a ship, boat or aircraft when facing the front, or fore or bow. starboard does not change based on the orientation of the person aboard the craft.
Starboard is also verb with the meaning: to put to the right, or starboard, side of a vessel.
