The difference between King and Sovereign
When used as nouns, king means a male monarch, whereas sovereign means a monarch.
When used as verbs, king means to crown king, to make (a person) king, whereas sovereign means to rule over as a sovereign.
Sovereign is also adjective with the meaning: exercising power of rule.
