The difference between Keen and Piercing
When used as nouns, keen means a prolonged wail for a deceased person, whereas piercing means the action of the verb to pierce.
When used as adjectives, keen means often with a prepositional phrase, or with and an infinitive: showing a quick and ardent responsiveness or willingness, whereas piercing means appearing to look deeply into.
Keen is also verb with the meaning: to make cold, to sharpen.
