The difference between Influence and Stimulus

When used as nouns, influence means the power to affect, control or manipulate something or someone, whereas stimulus means any external phenomenon that has an influence on a system, by triggering or modifying an internal phenomenon.


Influence is also verb with the meaning: to have an effect on by using gentle or subtle action.
