The difference between Hurricane and Slap-back
When used as nouns, hurricane means a severe tropical cyclone in the north atlantic ocean, caribbean sea, gulf of mexico, or in the eastern north pacific off the west coast of mexico, with winds of 119 km/h (74 miles per hour) or greater accompanied by rain, lightning, and thunder that sometimes moves into temperate latitudes, whereas slap-back means a faulty landing, whereby the skier rotates backwards around the knee-joint and hits the snow of the landing slope with their back and head, before rising off the snow back into position with their skis underneath them.
Slap-back is also adjective with the meaning: when bass strings are slapped rather plucked individually.
