The difference between Homer and Triple
When used as nouns, homer means a former hebrew unit of dry volume, about equal to 230l or 6½bushels, whereas triple means three times or thrice the number, amount, size, etc.
When used as verbs, homer means to hit a homer, whereas triple means to multiply by three.
Triple is also adjective with the meaning: made up of three related elements, often matching.
