The difference between Hick and Lob
When used as nouns, hick means an awkward, naive, clumsy and/or rude country person, whereas lob means (ball sports) a pass or stroke which arches high into the air.
When used as verbs, hick means to hiccup, whereas lob means to throw or hit a ball into the air in a high arch.
