The difference between Hexose and Rhamnose
When used as nouns, hexose means a sugar or saccharide containing six carbon atoms, whereas rhamnose means a methyl-pentose, 6-deoxy-l-mannose, which occurs in the leaves and flowers of poison ivy and is a constituent of many plant glycosides.
