The difference between Film and Movie
When used as nouns, film means a thin layer of some substance, whereas movie means a recorded sequence of images displayed on a screen at a rate sufficiently fast to create the appearance of motion.
Film is also verb with the meaning: to record (activity, or a motion picture) on photographic film.
