The difference between Drug and Medicine
When used as nouns, drug means a substance used to treat an illness, relieve a symptom, or modify a chemical process in the body for a specific purpose, whereas medicine means a substance which specifically promotes healing when ingested or consumed in some way.
When used as verbs, drug means to administer intoxicating drugs to, generally without the recipient's knowledge or consent, whereas medicine means to treat with medicine.
