The difference between Doze and Slumber
When used as nouns, doze means a light, short sleep or nap, whereas slumber means a very light state of sleep, almost awake.
When used as verbs, doze means to sleep lightly or briefly, whereas slumber means to be in a very light state of sleep, almost awake.
