The difference between Doctor and Vet

When used as nouns, doctor means a physician, whereas vet means a veterinarian or veterinary surgeon.

When used as verbs, doctor means to act as a medical doctor to, whereas vet means to thoroughly check or investigate particularly with regard to providing formal approval.
