The difference between Denizen and Resident
When used as nouns, denizen means an inhabitant of a place, whereas resident means a person, animal or plant living at a certain location or in a certain area.
Denizen is also verb with the meaning: to grant rights of citizenship to.
Resident is also adjective with the meaning: dwelling, or having an abode, in a place for a continued length of time.
