The difference between Decrease and Raise

When used as nouns, decrease means an amount by which a quantity is decreased, whereas raise means an increase in wages or salary.

When used as verbs, decrease means of a quantity, to become smaller, whereas raise means to form by the accumulation of materials or constituent parts.
