The difference between Decline and Wane

When used as nouns, decline means downward movement, fall, whereas wane means a gradual diminution in power, value, intensity etc.

When used as verbs, decline means to move downwards, to fall, to drop, whereas wane means to progressively lose its splendor, value, ardor, power, intensity etc.
