The difference between Cultivar and Hybrid
When used as nouns, cultivar means a cultivated variety of a plant species or hybrid of two species, whereas hybrid means offspring resulting from cross-breeding different entities, e.g. two different species or two purebred parent strains.
Hybrid is also adjective with the meaning: consisting of diverse 'hybridized' components.
