The difference between Counterpotent and Potent
When used as nouns, counterpotent means a fur differing from potent in the arrangement of the patches: the t shapes are alternatingly upright and inverted, such that the broad side of each t touches the broad sides of the adjacent rows', and likewise with the pointed ends, whereas potent means a heraldic fur formed by a regular tessellation of blue and white t shapes.
Potent is also adjective with the meaning: possessing strength.
