The difference between Conservative and Small-c conservative

When used as nouns, conservative means one who opposes changes to the traditional institutions of their country, whereas small-c conservative means a person who holds conservative views, but is not a member of their country's "conservative party".


Conservative is also adjective with the meaning: cautious.
