The difference between Complex sentence and Compound sentence
When used as nouns, complex sentence means a sentence that contains an independent clause as well as one or more dependent clauses, such as a relative clause, an adverbial clause, or a noun clause, whereas compound sentence means a sentence that has two or more independent clauses, joined by a conjunction (such as 'but', 'and') and/or punctuation (such as ',').
