The difference between Compact and Condense

When used as verbs, compact means to make more dense, whereas condense means to decrease size or volume by concentration toward the essence.

When used as adjectives, compact means closely packed, i.e. packing much in a small space, whereas condense means condensed.


Compact is also noun with the meaning: an agreement or contract.
