The difference between Comfort and Console

When used as nouns, comfort means contentment, ease, whereas console means a stand-alone cabinet designed to stand on the floor.

When used as verbs, comfort means to relieve the distress or suffering of, whereas console means to comfort (someone) in a time of grief, disappointment, etc.
