The difference between Coating and Sheet

When used as nouns, coating means a thin outer layer, whereas sheet means a thin bed cloth used as a covering for a mattress or as a layer over the sleeper.


Sheet is also verb with the meaning: to cover or wrap with cloth, or paper, or other similar material.
