The difference between Clue and Signature

When used as nouns, clue means a strand of yarn etc. as used to guide one through a labyrinth, whereas signature means a person's name, written by that person.


Clue is also verb with the meaning: to provide with a clue.

Signature is also adjective with the meaning: distinctive, characteristic, indicative of identity.
