The difference between Cinnabar and Orpiment
When used as nouns, cinnabar means a deep red mineral, mercuric sulfide, hgs, whereas orpiment means arsenic trisulphide, occurring naturally in crystals or massive deposits, formerly used as a dye or pigment.
