The difference between Celestial and Divine

When used as nouns, celestial means an inhabitant of heaven, whereas divine means one skilled in divinity.

When used as adjectives, celestial means heavenly, divine, in either a religious or figurative sense, whereas divine means of or pertaining to a god.


Divine is also verb with the meaning: to foretell (something), especially by the use of divination.
