The difference between Card stock and Pasteboard

When used as nouns, card stock means a paper stock that is thicker and more durable than normal writing or printing paper, but thinner and more flexible than other forms of paperboard, used for postcards, playing cards, etc, whereas pasteboard means card stock.


Pasteboard is also adjective with the meaning: unsubstantial.
