The difference between Carbonated water and Mineral water

When used as nouns, carbonated water means water containing carbon dioxide dissolved in it under pressure, whereas mineral water means water, containing dissolved minerals, which has been treated in any of several ways (filtering, aerating etc) before being bottled.
