The difference between Car and Motor

When used as nouns, car means a wheeled vehicle that moves independently, with at least three wheels, powered mechanically, steered by a driver and mostly for personal transportation, whereas motor means a machine or device that converts any form of energy into mechanical energy, or imparts motion.


Motor is also verb with the meaning: to make a journey by motor vehicle.

Motor is also adjective with the meaning: relating to the ability to move.
