The difference between Binary and Binary star
When used as nouns, binary means a thing which can have only (one or the other of) two values, whereas binary star means a stellar system in which two stars orbit around their center of mass.
Binary is also adjective with the meaning: being in a state of one of two mutually exclusive conditions such as on or off, true or false, molten or frozen, presence or absence of a signal.
