The difference between Balloon and Dirigible

When used as nouns, balloon means an inflatable buoyant object, often (but not necessarily) round and flexible, whereas dirigible means a self-propelled airship that can be steered.


Balloon is also verb with the meaning: to increase or expand rapidly.
