The difference between Available and Valid

When used as adjectives, available means such as one may avail oneself of, whereas valid means well grounded or justifiable, pertinent.

    Such as one may avail oneself of; capable of being used for the accomplishment of a purpose.

    Examples:

    "We have an available candidate."

  2. Available as an adjective:

    Readily obtainable.

    Examples:

    "The list shows the available products in the store."

  3. Available as an adjective (legal):

    Valid.

    Examples:

    "This is an available plea."

  4. Available as an adjective (archaic):

    Having sufficient power, force, or efficacy to achieve the purpose; availing, effective.

  5. Available as an adjective:

    Free to meet someone, speak on the telephone, enter a romantic relationship or the like.

    Of a formula or system: such that it evaluates to true regardless of the input values.

    Of an argument: whose conclusion is always true whenever its premises are true.

    Examples:
