The difference between Auto and Motor

When used as nouns, auto means an automobile, whereas motor means a machine or device that converts any form of energy into mechanical energy, or imparts motion.

When used as adjectives, auto means automatic, whereas motor means relating to the ability to move.


Motor is also verb with the meaning: to make a journey by motor vehicle.
