The difference between Audition and Tryout
When used as nouns, audition means a performance, by an aspiring performer, to demonstrate suitability or talent, whereas tryout means a test of the suitability or effectiveness of a person or thing, especially of a performer (an audition).
Audition is also verb with the meaning: to evaluate one or more performers in through an audition.
