The difference between Arise and Result

When used as verbs, arise means to come up from a lower to a higher position, whereas result means to proceed, spring up or rise, as a consequence, from facts, arguments, premises, combination of circumstances, consultation, thought or endeavor.


Result is also interjection with the meaning: an exclamation of joy following a favorable outcome.

Result is also noun with the meaning: that which results.
