The difference between Archbishop and Prelate
When used as nouns, archbishop means in the roman catholic church and other churches, a senior bishop who is in charge of an archdiocese, and presides over a group of dioceses called a province, whereas prelate means a clergyman of high rank and authority, having jurisdiction over an area or a group of people.
Prelate is also verb with the meaning: to act as a prelate.
