The difference between Appear and Vanish

When used as verbs, appear means to come or be in sight, whereas vanish means to become invisible or to move out of view unnoticed.


Vanish is also noun with the meaning: the brief terminal part of a vowel or vocal element, differing more or less in quality from the main part.
