The difference between Aloof and Distant
When used as adjectives, aloof means reserved and remote, whereas distant means far off (physically, logically or mentally).
Aloof is also preposition with the meaning: away from.
Aloof is also adverb with the meaning: at or from a distance, but within view, or at a small distance.
