The difference between Album and Single

When used as nouns, album means a book specially designed to keep photographs, stamps, or autographs, whereas single means (music) a 45 rpm vinyl record with one song on side a and one on side b.


Single is also verb with the meaning: to identify or select one member of a group from the others.

Single is also adjective with the meaning: not accompanied by anything else.
