The difference between Aircraft carrier and Seaplane tender
When used as nouns, aircraft carrier means a warship designed to carry aircraft, serving as a seagoing air base, with a deck on which aircraft can be launched and landed, whereas seaplane tender means a ship designed to tend to the needs of seaplanes, floatplanes and flying boats at sea, for resupply, refueling, sometimes including catapult launch.
