When used as adverbs, agape means in a state of astonishment, wonder, expectation, or eager attention, whereas agog means in a state of high anticipation, excitement, or interest.

When used as adjectives, agape means in a state of astonishment, wonder, expectation, or eager attention, whereas agog means in eager desire, eager, astir.
