The difference between Affinal and Consanguine
When used as adjectives, affinal means of a family relationship by marriage of a relative (or through affinity), as opposed to consanguinity, whereas consanguine means related by birth or "by blood", i.e. having close ancestors in common.
Consanguine is also noun with the meaning: a person related to another by birth.
